Hello Lochside Families!
We hope everyone has had a fantastic weekend! Here’s a quick look at what’s happening around Lochside this week.
1) Thank you to our Wonderful Volunteers!
We want to extend a huge thank you to all the amazing volunteers who have supported our programs this year, especially the ones helping with Fun Lunch and upcoming events. We simply couldn’t do it without you! 🙏 If you’d like to volunteer and make a difference, please don't hesitate to sign up for any upcoming events (see below for more info).
2) Popcorn Day - Wednesday, April 9th
Popcorn Day is happening this week! 🍿
A big thank you to the loyal volunteers who make this fun and tasty event happen!
3) LEPAC General Meeting: April 8th from 6:30-8:00pm
Tonight’s meeting is just around the corner! Please join us in the Learning Commons. It's a great opportunity to get involved in the school community and hear updates from the LEPAC team and school administration.
Childminding is available for families who need it. We look forward to seeing you there!
4) Lochside Needs You!!!
We’ll be creating the nomination list for next year’s LEPAC Executive at Tuesday's meeting. If you're interested in a role, we encourage you to nominate yourself! Every Lochside family has a voice in shaping the future of our PAC. The new Exec will be voted in at our May AGM.
5) Home Alone Program: 3 Spaces Left!
There are still some spaces available in the Home Alone Program taking place this Monday, April 7th, from 3:00-5:30 pm in the Learning Commons.
If your child is 9 or older and might need to be home alone occasionally, sign up by emailing lepacpayments@gmail.com. The cost is $35, but please reach out if the fee is a barrier for your family.
6) Grad Spring Plant Fundraiser: Orders Close April 23
Don’t forget, our Grade 5 class is hosting a Spring Plant Fundraiser. You can order local BC spring plants online and support our grads. 🌸
Order Deadline: April 23rd
Pick-Up Date: May 9th from 2:00-7:00 pm in the school gym

7) Fun Lunch Sign Up to Volunteer
Thank you to all the volunteers who have helped with Fun Lunch so far this year. We are still looking for a few volunteers for the rest of the year.
The next date will be April 25th and they are still seeking:
Kitchen Helpers: 3 volunteers from 10:45am-12:25pm
Classroom Volunteers: Divisions 14, 18, 19, 20 from 11:00am-11:30pm and Divisions 4, 5, 9, 10, 12 from 11:30am-12pm

8) Non-Instructional Day
Just a reminder, there will be no school on Friday, April 11th, as it's a Non-Instructional Day. Enjoy the long weekend!
