Weekly Update: February 22, 2026

Hello Lochside Families,

We hope you all had a great weekend! Here's a quick late-night update for this week:

Crossing Guards - Back on Duty

Happy to share that our crossing guards will be back on duty starting tomorrow! Please remember to give yourself extra time at drop-off and pick-up to safely navigate around the construction and traffic congestion.

Grade 5 Fundraising & Bottle Drive – March 1

Our next fundraising event is a Bottle Drive on Sunday, March 1 from 10:00am–2:00pm.

If you haven’t yet had a chance to volunteer or contribute, this is a wonderful opportunity to get involved. All grades are welcome to help the Grade 5s!

Pink Shirt Day – February 25

Pink Shirt Day is coming up this Wednesday, February 25. Students and staff are encouraged to wear pink as we stand together and continue building a culture of kindness, inclusion, and respect in our school community.

Grade 5 Spring Plant Sale 🌱

The Grade 5 Spring Plant Sale is now live!

The fundraising goal is 70 plants sold. Please take a look at the link below and try to help them reach their goal. Orders are due April 20th.

Thank you for helping us grow this fundraiser!

Parent Education Opportunity – Childhood Anxiety: Building Resilience

Families of Lochside, Cordova Bay, Prospect Lake, and Royal Oak Middle School are invited to attend an upcoming parent education session:

Childhood Anxiety: Building Resilience

In person at Claremont: Tuesday, February 24 from 6:00–8:00pm

This session comes highly recommended and offers practical tools and strategies to support children experiencing anxiety.
