Weekly Update: February 8, 2026

Hello Lochside Families,

We hope you are all enjoying the lighter mornings and signs that spring is on its way! Thank you, as always, for taking the time to read our Weekly Updates — it’s a simple way to stay connected and involved in your child’s school experience.

February LEPAC General Meeting – This Tuesday February 10

We hope you will join us for our February LEPAC General Meeting happening this Tuesday Feb 10 from 6:30-8 in the Learning Commons. Childminding will be provided for Lochside Students.

We would also love to connect with any parents or caregivers who may be interested in joining our executive team next year. If you’ve ever been curious about getting more involved, this is a great opportunity to learn more and ask questions. We look forward to seeing you there!

Cupcake Sale

Don't forget to pack a toonie for your Lizard to get a cupcake on Wednesday February 11th! Anything left over will be sold off during after school pickup from 2:30-3:30

The Grade 5 Planning Committee is hosting a Cupcake Sale on Wednesday, February 11th, in support of Camp Immadene and our Grade 5 graduation events.

Grade 5 Fundraising & Bottle Drive – March 1

Dear Grade 5 Families,

Only a few more months remain before our Grade 5 students enjoy their celebratory events! A small but dedicated group of parent volunteers has been working hard to make the graduates’ final days at Lochside memorable. Planning these special events takes teamwork, and every bit of participation helps.

Our next fundraising event is a Bottle Drive on Sunday, March 1 from 10:00am–2:00pm. If you haven’t yet had a chance to volunteer or contribute, this is a wonderful opportunity to get involved.

Posters and flyers are attached—please share them with friends, neighbours, coworkers, and at community events to help spread the word.

Thank you in advance for your support!
