1) Mission Complete: The LEPAC Treasurer Is Found!

We found our new treasurer! Thank you to our kindergarten parent who was able to step up for, and into, this critical role for Lochside. 🥳

4) Reminder: Girls Only Judo Introduction!

Attention: Grade 4-8 girls

We have received this poster sharing the opportunity for girls in Grade 4-8 to receive free Judo lessons. We have heard only amazing things about this company.

Space is limited. Starts in January.

5) 📚 Save The Dates: Two (2) Literacy Initiatives For The New Year 📚

A note from Mrs. Molloy in the Learning Commons...

A Winter Literacy Bingo sheet was sent home with your child. If you choose to participate, cross off the activities as you complete them. Your child can return the completed sheet before January 17 to receive a prize and a chance to win a book!
This year we will be celebrating Family Literacy Day on Friday, January 24, 2025. Family Literacy Day is a day where we acknowledge and appreciate the role all families play in supporting literacy development. Whether it be a bedtime story, writing the grocery list or researching a topic together, you play a key role in your child's development. We invite family and caregivers to come in to read from 8:50-9:20 am. There is also the option to dress up as a literary character for the day.

The theme for ABC Family Literacy Day 2025 is "Learn to Be Green, Together." You will be find many valuable resources on the ABC Family Literacy Day website.

Registration is now open at Cordova Bay Fastball for all players aged U7-U20 (Birth Years 2005-2020).

For players aged U7 & U9, registration is Free as our Learn to Play age group is sponsored by Northridge Excavating.

Please make sure to send your kiddo(s) with lunch if you do not plan to purchase fun lunch.
If you do order, it's a good idea to send your kiddo(s) with some options to complement the fun lunch if they are picky eaters.
If your child is absent the day of the fun lunch, please be aware that they may forfeit the lunch, as it may may not keep for long or get donated.

Our final 2024 Fun Lunch was Fri. Dec 13 (Dominos). Orders closed Dec. 5th.

Save the date SATURDAY, JANUARY 4 - TREE CHIPPING & BOTTLE DRIVE
Our grade 5 students will be hosting this fundraiser in our school parking lot. All funds go to directly offset costs for grade 5 activities. More information to come. Thank you for saving your trees and empties for the school!
