🍕 Thank You for a Wonderful Welcome Picnic!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the LEPAC Welcome Picnic! It was wonderful to see so many Lochside families come together, connect, and enjoy the evening.
A special thank-you to Susan Catchuk and Heidi Gartner, who signed up to volunteer and jumped in to help make the evening run smoothly.
We’d also like to recognize Kaylee Szakacs for organizing the food sales and bringing the pizzas, snacks, and drinks; Ram Madhu for keeping us stocked with even more pizza; and Sodalicious, our wonderful food truck vendor and fellow Lochside parent, for joining us again!
And, of course, thank you to everyone who stopped by, purchased food and drinks, volunteered, or simply came out to spend the evening with our school community. 💛
👕 Grade 5 Grad Clothing -- Order Deadline Approaching!
Grade 5 families: don’t forget to order your Lochside Grad 2027 clothing!
The online store closes Sunday, October 4 at 11:59 p.m. and late orders cannot be processed, so make sure to place your order before the deadline.
📊 LEPAC Proposed Budget
Our proposed LEPAC budget is now available for families to review.
The budget will be presented and voted on at our October LEPAC meeting. We encourage parents and caregivers to take a look ahead of the meeting.
📚 Coupon Book Sale Starts!
Our Community Values Coupon Book Sale is now underway! The fundraiser runs from September 28 to October 9.
A coupon book has been sent home with each student. If your family would like to participate, you can sell the book and help raise funds for LEPAC. If you do not plan to sell your book, please return it to the school as soon as possible so it can be used by another family.
LEPAC will collect orders and deliver additional books and prizes a couple of times each week throughout the fundraiser.
And there’s a little friendly competition involved: the classrooms that sell the most books will win a pizza party! 🍕
🎃 Halloween Dance
Get ready for Lochside’s first Halloween Dance on Friday, October 30! 🎃
We’re starting to put everything together and will need parent volunteers to help make the evening a fun one for our students and families.
And one very important piece is already taken care of: we have a DJ! 🎶 A huge thank-you to DJ Tera for generously offering her services for the evening.

Terry Fox Run - Thursday, October 1: Help prepare, hand out, and clean up fruit for students after the run.
Fun Lunch (ongoing) - First fun lunch is on Friday, October 2: Help in the kitchen or distribute lunches to classrooms.

There are many easy ways to support LEPAC throughout the year. Funds raised help make events, programs, and other opportunities possible for Lochside students.
Winter Plant Sale Is Now Live! Get an early start on your seasonal shopping and place your order for beautiful holiday plants. *New this year! Delivery to your doorstep is available for $10, payable by e-transfer. Visit the Winter Plant Sale (add link) page for ordering and delivery details.
Donate to LEPAC: If you would prefer to donate directly, you can contribute through
SD63 Online Payments: Select your child, choose “PAC Donation,” enter your desired donation amount, and add it to your cart.
E-transfer: Send your donation to lepacpayments@gmail.com and please include a note indicating that it is a donation.
Paypal NEW: You can make a secure online donation to LEPAC through PayPal.
Country Grocer Receipts: Keep dropping your Country Grocer receipts into the collection box in the school foyer. Every receipt helps! A huge thank-you to our volunteer, Julie B., for keeping them organized.
Mabel’s Labels : Label those jackets, water bottles, lunch containers, and other belongings to help them find their way home – and support LEPAC at the same time!
Bottle Depot: When returning your bottles, simply mention “Lochside Elementary PAC” at the counter to have your refund donated directly to LEPAC.
