Hello Lochside Families! Surprise, we're coming at you mid-week this time!
1) Thank you Tera!
Our beloved Communications Coordinator (who had been crafting these emails up until now) and very own superstar DJ has had to step away from her position on LEPAC.
We are so thankful for all the hard work Tera put into her roles and wish her wonderful things on her journey ahead.
2) LEPAC General Meeting
Our next meeting is coming up on Tuesday April 8 from 6:30-8:00pm in the Learning Commons. All Lochside parents and caregivers are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Our school liaison officer, Alex Omoding, will be starting off the meeting by giving a brief rundown and answering any questions about what will be happening during the Lockdown Drill happening on April 16th.
Childminding is available.
3) Lochside Needs You!!!
Around this time of year, the LEPAC Executive are already starting to think about next year: What exciting things will we be doing and...omg, who will be helping to steer the ship?!
Around 6 of our long-time members will be "graduating" from the Executive after this year. We will also need someone to take on the coordinator role for the Fun Lunch program next year.
Please come to our next meeting or reach out if you would like to learn more. Our school population has been growing steadily while new volunteer rates slowly dwindle - it shouldn't be this way!
4) Home Alone Program: 10 Spaces Left!
Home Alone Program Prepared Youth
When: Monday, April 7th, from 3-5:30 pm
Where: Lochside Learning Commons
If your child is age 9 and up, and may need to spend occasional time home alone, click here to register for the Home Alone Program
The program cost is $35.00 and payment must be sent by etransfer to lepacpayments@gmail.com in order to confirm your child's registration. If cost is a barrier, please contact the school administration and LEPAC can help.
5) Grad Spring Plant Fundraiser: Orders Open Until April 23
There is still time to order your local BC Spring plants and support our Grade 5 class!
Pick-Up Date: Friday, May 9th, 202 (School Gym from 2:00-7:00pm)
