Weekly Update: October 12, 2025

Hello Lochside Families! 🍁

Happy Thanksgiving! We hope you’re enjoying a cozy long weekend surrounded by family, friends, and good food. Just a reminder — there’s no school tomorrow (Monday, October 13).

This year I am especially thankful to our LEPAC Executive Team for working so hard behind the scenes to keeping our community vibrant!

Here’s what’s happening this week:

1) October PAC Meeting – This Tuesday! 🗓️

Join us for our October PAC Meeting on Tuesday, October 14 at 6:30 PM in the Learning Commons.

Childminding will be provided, and we’ll be voting on this year’s budget — so we’d love to see as many parents and caregivers as possible!

Your voice helps shape the events, fundraisers, and programs that support our students and staff.

2) Lochside Halloween Dance Party – October 30 🎃

Mark your calendars for our annual Halloween Dance Party — coming up Thursday, October 30 from 5–7:30 PM!

There’ll be music, games, activities, and snacks — plus a costume walk and DJ Tera taking requests here and spinning the tunes!

Volunteer sign-ups are ESSENTIAL in making this event a success. Please sign up for a shift or two here Thank you to those who have already signed up!

3) Photo Retake Day 📸

If your child missed photo day or needs a retake, Photo Retake Day is October 23rd.

Any student that was absent on photo day will have their picture taken. Additionally, if you would like a “retake” of your child’s photo please send the QR code back to school with them on that day and alert their classroom teacher via email.

4) The Card Project Fundraiser 🎨

A big thank you to our amazing Lochside teachers and students for creating such beautiful artwork for this year’s Card Project!

Each student’s art will soon be available to order as cards and keepsake gifts — perfect for the holidays.

This fundraiser helps support many of our LEPAC-funded programs throughout the year. Stay tuned for order details!
