Hello, Lochside Families!
We hope you enjoyed the Labour Day long weekend. We’re excited to welcome everyone back for another great year at Lochside.
☕ Come Say Hello at Our Welcome Table
Start the school year with coffee, Timbits and a chance to connect with other Lochside families! LEPAC will be hosting a Welcome Table on Wednesday, September 9, from 8:00 to 8:30 a.m. during morning drop-off.
Whether you’re new to Lochside or have been part of the school community for years, stop by and say hello -- we’d love to see you!
We could also use a couple of volunteers to help set up at 7:50 a.m. and clean up by 8:45 a.m. If you can lend a hand, email lochsidepac63@gmail.com.
📅 Join Us at Our First LEPAC Meeting
Our first LEPAC meeting of the year is Tuesday, September 15, at 6:30 p.m. in the Learning Commons.
PAC meetings are a great way to learn what’s happening at the school, share ideas and help shape the activities LEPAC supports throughout the year. All Lochside parents and caregivers are welcome.
🙋 Get Involved
LEPAC activities depend on families volunteering their time, whether it’s for one event, an occasional shift or an ongoing role. Opportunities throughout the year include helping with Fun Lunch, popcorn days, Fresh for Kids, special events, classroom communications and Grade 5 graduation planning.

💛 Easy Ways to Support LEPAC
Fundraising helps LEPAC support programs, activities and resources for Lochside students. This year’s fundraisers will include:

Purdy’s Chocolates
More information and ordering dates will be shared throughout the year.
🍎 Back to School
Grade 1–5 students begin with a shortened first day, followed by regular full school days for the rest of the week. Kindergarten students will continue with their gradual-entry schedules.
Families should check their email for the full schedule, including arrival, pickup and bus information.
✏️ School Supplies
No school supplies are needed on the first day. Teachers will let families know when to send them in. Supplies ordered through LEPAC and Monk Office will be delivered directly to classrooms.
🚗 New Drop-Off Area
The front parking lot has been updated to improve safety and traffic flow. Student drop-off will now take place in a designated area at the far corner of the parking lot.
Please remember to keep children in the vehicle until you reach the drop-off area, have them ready to exit and keep the line moving. The parking lot exit will also be right-turn only during busy periods.
Families should check their email for the new parking map, traffic-flow diagram and detailed drop-off information.
