2) Lochside Needs You!
Join the LEPAC Executive Team
Have you ever wanted to get more involved in our amazing school community, help shape what happens behind the scenes, and make a real impact on our kids’ school experience? Well… now’s your chance!
We’re looking for enthusiastic, community-minded parents to join the LEPAC Executive Team for the upcoming school year! Whether you’ve got a knack for organizing, love connecting people, or just want to lend a helping hand, we’ve got a role for you.
Here are the executive roles we’re looking to fill:
Co-President & Vice President – Lead the team and help everything run smoothly
Members at Large – Help out where needed and be part of the fun!
We also have some great daytime roles:
Fun Lunch Coordinator(s)
Love pizza Fridays? So do the kids! Help plan and coordinate our Fun Lunch program—our biggest fundraiser! This role is perfect for a pair of parents who can be at the school during lunch on Fridays. Organize the schedule, liaise with vendors, and keep those yummy lunches coming!
Emergency Lunch Volunteer
Help us keep our cupboards stocked with non-perishable emergency lunches for students in need. This quiet but incredibly important role makes sure no student goes hungry. You can do it on your own time!
Why join?
Meet other awesome parents
Help build a positive school culture
Use your skills (or grow new ones!)
Be more connected to what’s happening at school
Make a real difference for students and families
No experience? No problem! Many roles can be shared, and there’s tons of support from the current team. We’re all learning together—one meeting (and one coffee!) at a time
Interested? Curious? Even just a little tempted? Come chat with us or reach out anytime. We’d love to welcome you aboard.
Let’s make the next school year the best one yet—together!

5) Courtyard Cleanup & Volunteers for Shed Construction
🌿 Calling All Gardeners & Handy Helpers! 🛠️
Our school courtyard is in need of some urgent TLC, and we’re looking for a few volunteers to help out with hedging, weeding, and general garden maintenance. If you’ve got a green thumb (or don’t mind getting your hands a little dirty), we’d love your help—work can be done on your own time!
Interested? Please contact Helena Takhar at htakhar@saanichschools.ca
Also, exciting news: a brand-new shed has been purchased for the school! A huge thank you to Amanda W and her family who have volunteered to help assemble it. We are so grateful for their support.
