1) Feedback Requested: Proposed Calendar 2027/28

The Saanich Board of Education would like to share the proposed school calendar for 2027-2028. Based on feedback from previous years, Saanich School District has collaborated with Greater Victoria School District and Sooke School District to align school calendar dates wherever possible.

The deadline for feedback to be received is 4pm on Monday, April 14th, 2025. The calendars will be finalized at the Board Meeting on Wednesday, May 14th, 2025.

4) Grad Spring Plant Fundraiser: Orders Open Until April 23

5) Thank You Volunteers: Spring Book Fair

Volunteers are pivotal to the success of our book fairs. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped at our recent book fair on March 11 and 12...

6) Home Alone Program: Registration Form Open For Apr. 7

Home Alone Program Prepared Youth

When: Monday, April 7th, from 3-5:30 pm

Where: Lochside Learning Commons

The program cost is $35.00 and payment must be sent by etransfer to lepacpayments@gmail.com in order to confirm your child's registration. If cost is a barrier, please contact the school administration and LEPAC can help.

There is space for 30 participants.

What:

The Program is designed for the modern child, aged 9 and up, who may need to spend more time on their own. The before and after school time or occasional outings for parents are dealt with when the child is well prepared. The child will feel more confident and competent when they are not with an adult. The child will now be H.A.P.P.Y a Home Alone Program Prepared Youth!

7) Spots May Be Available ~ The World Cups Soccer Festival

One of the longest running soccer tournaments is back - The World Cups Soccer Festival!

It's two days over the Fri/Sat of Easter Weekend (April 18-19) and you honestly don't need to have any experience. Teams are made at random, and it's a safe way for kids to practice meeting new people and having level games that are managed so there are no blow outs. It's at the JDF fields (1767 Island Highway, Victoria, BC, CA, V9B 1J1) and super fun!

Cost: $45 (Register soon as space is limited!)

The school that has the most players registered gets $1000 for their school.

If your kid doesn't like the soccer in the end, at least they get to watch a fun parachute show at the opening ceremonies...

Orders for the next 10 fun lunch dates are open now. Orders will close at 7:00pm on Thursday the week before a given date (example - orders will close at 7:00pm on January 16 for the January 24th fun lunch). If finances prohibit your participation, please contact Principal Takhar.

💜 Fun lunch reminders:

Please make sure to send your kiddo(s) with lunch if you do not plan to purchase fun lunch.
If you do order, it's a good idea to send your kiddo(s) with some options to complement the fun lunch if they are picky eaters.
If your child is absent the day of the fun lunch, please be aware that they may forfeit the lunch, as it may may not keep for long or get donated.
