Weekly Update: Sunday, September 14, 2025

Hello Lochside families!

We’re off to a wonderful start—thank you all for your energy and support these first couple of weeks. Here are some quick updates and reminders as we move through September:

1) Big Thanks! 💚 A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us at our first LEPAC meeting of the year last week—it was great to see so many parents and caregivers come together. Our next meeting will be on October 14!

We’d also like to give special thanks to Kaylee, Nicole, and Cari for their help in preparing and delivering the September LEPAC startup packages to student backpacks last week. Your time and effort are so appreciated! If you did not receive a handout full of LEPAC information, please send us an email and we'll send you the digital copy.

2) Budget Update Our draft budget for the 2025-26 school year will be posted soon on our LEPAC website: 👉 Budget Page. The proposed budget will be voted on at the October LEPAC meeting.

3) Volunteers Needed 🙋Looking for a simple way to get involved? We’d love your help!

• Lochside Welcome Picnic - We would greatly appreciate two sets of volunteers during the Welcome Picnic this Thursday: We need two or three people from 4:45-6 to help sell pizza and snacks and two or three from 7-7:30 to help pack up. Please email lochsidepac63@gmail.com if you can help!

• Terry Fox Run - We need volunteers this Friday afternoon to help prepare and serve fruit to the runners! 👉Terry Fox Volunteer Sheet

• Halloween Party – LEPAC usually throws a super fun Halloween Dance and Party but we need a couple people to help organize the event. The party would be on either October 17th or 30th depending on your availability. Please email us if you can help! lochsidepac63@gmail.com

  
  

4) Grade 5 Grad Clothing 🎓Grad Clothing is now available for order! This is a special way for our Grade 5s to celebrate their final year at Lochside. Do not miss your chance to order, we will not be running the grad clothing sale again this year. Orders can be placed until September 28th and will be ready around October 24th. 👉 Grad Clothing Store

5) Lochside Welcome Picnic - Come to the Lochside Open House and see your child's classroom from 4:30-5:30. LEPAC will be hosting a Welcome Picnic in the back field from 5-7pm. Please bring your own dinner and blankets to enjoy a picnic on the back field.

LEPAC will also be serving a limited amount of pizza (including gluten free), drinks, snacks and Lochside Spirit Wear on the back field. Cash or payments on Square will be available.

• Donate to LEPAC – Available through the School District 63 Online Payments

• Country Grocer Receipts – Save them & drop them off in the classroom folder or foyer box

• Mabel’s Labels – Order personalized labels and keep track of belongings
