Happy First Day of February, Lochside!

Thank you to everyone who participated in last week’s school-wide read to celebrate Family Literacy Day. It was wonderful to see so many parents and care-givers come to share the joy of reading with their children.

A friendly reminder as we move through cold and flu season: Please help control the spread of illnesses at school by giving your children the time they need to get better at home.

The Grade 5 Lochside Lizards are hosting another bottle drive to support their farewell activities. Please come out and support the graduating Class of 2026 by dropping off your refundable bottles!

Help spread the word by sharing the poster or passing along the pamphlet to friends and neighbours.

Games in the Gym – Registration Open

Claremont students will be running Games in the Gym before school from February 12 to March 12.

Parenting Course – Lochside Parent Discount

Tuesdays, 7:00–9:00pm(In-person in Oak Bay or via Zoom) No class March 17 during Spring Break

Designed for parents of children from tots to teens, this engaging course offers practical tools and fresh perspectives to help guide your children with confidence and respect. If you’re feeling stuck in power struggles or unsure how to set boundaries without conflict, this course may help you create a calmer, more cooperative home environment.

Mark your calendars! The Grade 5 Planning Committee is hosting a Cupcake Sale on Wednesday, February 11th, in support of Camp Immadene and our Grade 5 graduation events.

Calling all Gr 4/5 Volunteers. Please sign up to donate and/or distribute cupcakes here
For the kids: Bring your loonies and toonies on the Feb 11th to grab a delicious treat. Anything left over will be sold off during after school pickup from 2:30-3:30
